The Haywood County Arts Council's mission is to promote artists, art education, and innovation in art. 

Haywood Arts Regional Theatre (HART) is a semi-professional community theater in Waynesville, North Carolina, founded in 1984. Nestled in a stunning facility resembling 1920s Summer Stock playhouses, it hosts the Steve Lloyd Stage, Fangmeyer Theater, and Feichter Studio Theatre on the Historic Shelton Campus. HART is dedicated to delivering diverse, high-quality theater experiences, inspiring performers and audiences alike while fostering artistic expression and nurturing talent in the region and beyond.
