The ensemble comprises world-renowned musicians, River Guerguerian on percussion and Chris Rosser on piano and multiple instruments. They are known for their rich and textured soundscapes, intricate rhythms, and virtuosic instrumentation. The band’s aim is always to transport listeners on a captivating journey while “exploring the infinite and seamless relationships between musical cultures through the universal language of sound.” Adam Maalouf will accompany the duo on cello, handpan, Indian tabla, and other instrumentation. He will also share songs from his extensive personal catalog. Adam has been featured on prestigious stages around the world and studied with some of the greatest Master musicians alive. He has collaborated with River Guerguerian and Chris Rosser numerous times over a dozen years, whenever circumstances allow. On select pieces throughout the performance, Aparna Keshaviah, an artist with extraordinarily agile and elegant movement and musical awareness, will grace the stage with her storytelling, singing, and dancing. Aparna Keshaviah is an American-born daughter of South Indian immigrants who grew up training in Bharatanatyam dance, classical piano, and voice. Her choreography distills the South Indian classical form to a more raw, expressive core—abstract postures, percussive footwork, and improvisation. Shedding myth and ornament, she reveals precise movements and basal states of being that transcend culture. Aparna's modern reformulation of Bharatanatyam has captivated diverse audiences around the U.S., India, and Italy. Gaby's Food Truck On-SiteAdditional Info
