Blake Stanbery is the Lead Pastor at New Covenant Church in Clyde, NC. He has been a leader in education, finance, and ministry in the region. Before leaving corporate finance to begin Haywood Christian Academy and The Bridge Learning Center, he was the Executive Director of Finance for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and the Finance Director for Haywood Regional Medical Center. His mission is to build healthy communities that glorify God.

Blake holds a bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University and a master’s degree from Liberty University. He also holds a North Carolina CPA license and a Christian School Superintendent license. He is often found holding a basketball or a fishing rod! 

Blake is married to Rebecca, a seventh generation Haywood County native, and they have three children -- Hayes, Hattie and Hayden. You can follow him on Instagram @blake_stanbery.

New Covenant Church is a non-denominational church founded in 1977 in Clyde, NC. The church sits on a 30-acre campus on Lee Road near Haywood Community College. Programming includes 2 services on Sunday, Wednesday night community groups, and Thursday night Celebrate Recovery, a Christian 12-step recovery program. New Covenant also operates a year-round preschool for ages 3-5 called Creative Minds Christian Preschool.
