Parking & Shuttle: Due to limited parking onsite, MHO is providing shuttle service from the Ingles Markets parking lot at 259 Barber Blvd, which is a short distance from the Balsam Edge project site. Please plan your arrival to accommodate a brief shuttle ride.

Join us to celebrate the start of construction for Balsam Edge, MHO’s newest affordable apartment community! Balsam Edge is an 84-unit community located on a new 5-acre site at Howell Mill Road in Waynesville, North Carolina. This marks a significant milestone as MHO’s first affordable development in Haywood County. This highly walkable, amenity-rich community will feature 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments and will serve renters who earn from 40% to 60% of Area Median Income (AMI).

Balsam Edge is tentatively slated to open winter 2027.
