Owner: Terryll Evans, Owner of WPTL Radio. Tuscola Graduate and  3rd generation of Radio Station Owners.I moved back to Haywood County to help my father with the radio station. Bill Reck, my father retired and I took over WPTL Radio October 21, 2020.  My grandfather, Myron Reck started a radio station in Sanford, Flordia called WTRR in April of 1947. WTRR was sold August of 1977.  

WPTL is a Radio that began August 8th 1963, started by Vernon Pressley of Canton - with Country Gospel Format. 

My father,  Bill Reck  purchased WPTL on December 1977. We were known as the "Good Neighbor" Radio Station. On February 2018, we received a translator for the FM Stattion. WPTL became 101.7 FM and 920 AM and became "Your Country".
